Lesley Millard

Lesley has worked in education project management for over 12 years. Lesley has experience in a range of industries including recruitment, telecommunications, and education and brings a wealth of skills and expertise in project delivery and management. Lesley is able to deliver successful projects through her ability to work with colleagues and clients to not only understand their requirements but to fully capture their ethos and way of working ensuring complete buy-in from all stakeholders while implementing efficient and effective project management approaches.

Lesley’s experience in both the private and public sector means that she is adept at managing a range of stakeholders with competing demands.  Lesley has extensive experience in education projects covering the delivery and conversion of academies, clerking and governance support, capital projects, bid development, University Technical Colleges, and free schools.

Since 2018 Lesley had led on the governance and clerking offer for GLK Solutions, providing professional governance support and clerking services to a range of schools and trusts.  Lesley is committed to ongoing CPD focussing on governance within the education and third sectors to enable her to support clients and develop effective boards.  Lesley has also completed the Clerks' Development Programme as well as the Chairs' Development Programme and sits as a Governor on the Board of a large secondary school with sixth form having also spent six years as a Vice Chair of Governors in a primary school. 

Lesley divides her GLK time between supporting clients in education transformation projects including formation of new trusts and academy conversions and delivering a number of clerking contracts to schools and trusts.
